Copy and Paste 2

So here we are, the first full day of updates from my punk-ass. I’m also making up for short-changing you yesterday.

So, this didn’t need to be a 4 panel comic, and half of it doesn’t need to be Lucas’ reaction.

I’m not sure what the punch line was supposed to be here. But the joke is that; “Fox ruins Anime”. Not sure why that needed four panels, I did it in two.

This is nitpicking. The panel I removed didn’t really hurt the comic, and it may even flow a little worse now. The reason I did it is because this strip sets up the winter-een-mas story line. So, I had to?

So, now we get into the first real story edits. I’m not changing any plot points (yet), but I am trying to make it flow better. The third panel showcases something we’re going to be seeing a lot of in the future; the blank speech bubble. Often times due to shifting backgrounds, lack of replacement material (i.e. the characters are moving too much), or excessive size there are some speech bubbles I just can’t make disappear. This leaves ugly blank spaces in the comic, but it does highlight just how much unnecessary dialogue there is.

Although, it does work in this strip, it’s like Lucas is just rendered speechless at the idea that Ethan made a scepter for his own made up Holiday.

Not a whole lot to say here, just trimming the fat as it were. I don’t know what’s going on with Lucas’ face in the last panel. I get that it should be a look of rage and confusion, maybe a little intimidation thrown in; but it just looks like he’s trying to crap his own pants.

Well, see you guyz tomorrow.
